Will sponsors actually care about a ByHuman badge?
That's the bet. Brand-safety teams are increasingly wary of AI-generated channels because impressions don't always translate into engaged audiences. A badge a media buyer can verify in 30 seconds is the kind of signal they can defend internally. We're building a sponsor-facing directory alongside Gold tier.
What if my pipeline uses some AI — like B-roll or thumbnails?
You disclose it. The badge isn't a 100%-AI-free claim — it's a structured public statement of which parts are human and which are AI. A creator using AI thumbnails who voices their own script is very different from a fully synthetic channel, and your disclosure says so explicitly.
What does it cost?
Silver is free, forever, per channel. Gold (live voice capture + voice-print verification) is planned at ~$19/month per channel — unlimited videos, not per-video. Founding 50 channels get six months of free Gold when it ships.
What happens if a creator lies on the disclosure?
Anyone can report a badge. We review reports; if a Silver badge is proven to be AI-narrated or materially fabricated, we publicly revoke it — the proof page is replaced with a revocation notice that preserves the original metadata for transparency. Repeat offenders get channel-wide revocation and a public listing.
Why anchor to Bitcoin?
So the timestamp doesn't depend on ByHuman being around. OpenTimestamps commits a hash of your file inside a Bitcoin block; anyone can verify when it existed without trusting us. We're a tool in the chain, not a chokepoint.
